The Baby Rubber Plant (Peperomia obtusifolia) is the ultimate easy-going beauty. With its thick, glossy leaves and compact, upright growth, it brings a clean, modern feel to any space without demanding constant attention. Its rich green foliage reflects light beautifully, making it perfect for brightening up desks, shelves, or bedside tables.
Despite its name, it’s not actually a rubber plant — but it does have those same lush, sturdy leaves that give it a premium look. Native to tropical regions, this plant is wonderfully adaptable and thrives indoors, making it a go-to choice for both beginners and seasoned plant parents.
Why you'll love it:
• Super low maintenance — thrives on a little neglect
• Glossy, chunky leaves that look healthy year-round
• Compact size — perfect for small spaces and styling
• Great starter plant (or gift for someone new to plants)
Plant care:

Thrives in bright, indirect light, where its glossy leaves really shine. It can tolerate medium light conditions, making it a great option for spots a bit further from a window.

This plant prefers to dry out slightly between waterings. Water when the top 2–4 cm of soil feels dry, then give it a thorough soak and allow excess water to drain away.

The Baby Rubber Plant is non-toxic to pets, making it a safe choice for homes with cats and dogs.
